Jamie Dress Paper Sewing Pattern, Atelier Jupe

The dress is shaped at the waist with an elasticated casing at each side, creating a flattering fit without compromising comfort. For a more defined look, the casing can be sewn on the outside and threaded with a tie belt to highlight the waist and add an eye-catching design feature. Clever centre front and centre back seams make the V-neckline easier to construct while adding subtle structure to the design.

Jamie looks particularly striking in a plain fabric where the details can really shine, but it is equally lovely sewn in a favourite print. Whether dressed up or worn more casually, it's a versatile style you'll reach for time and time again.

Important to Know: Atelier Jupe patterns are designed to be traced before use. The pattern pieces are overlapping and printed on both sides of the sheet, so tracing is essential.

This approach allows you to preserve the original sheet, make multiple sizes, and easily adjust the fit as you go. You can use tracing paper, baking parchment, or thin wrapping paper – or we can supply you with spot and cross pattern paper to make the job even easier.

Suggested Fabrics: Choose a fabric with a fluid drape such as viscose, cotton, Tencel, polyester, linen or double gauze.
