The decorative circles featured in Gem Jive have been extracted from a Hansel and Gretel poster, commissioned by Wildsmith’s New York publisher in 1970. The hand painted circles have an imperfect quality which is something we like to celebrate at Liberty, where every print originates from an original artwork. The additional geometrics and decorative elements within the circles add an extra level of detail and depth to the design.
