WAWWA x Cubitts Sunglasses Sling — Black A wearable case for a pair of sunglasses worth looking after. Made in-house at Phoenix Mill, our Manchester factory.
Glasses spend most of their life being taken off and put somewhere. So rather than a case that lives in a drawer, we made one you'd actually carry. We adapted one of our existing styles, taking direction from our Sacoche and stripping it back to its simplest form, which felt right for something that's going to get used every day. Water-resistant dry wax ripstop, a single popper closure, and an adjustable black paracord strap using the same slip knot as the sunglasses neck straps. Frames and cleaning cloth go in the main body; other essentials go in the zipped pocket, so you can leave the house with just this.
The shape owes something to vintage stationery: the pencil cases from Penco, Hightide's Nahe General Purpose Case. That everyday, slightly utilitarian feel. Something with a job to do, designed to be opened twenty times a day without any fuss.
A collaboration between two British workshops: frames made by hand at Cubitts in London, cases made three hundred miles north by our team in Manchester, where everyone is paid at least the real Living Wage.
