The Almost Square Messenger Bag Sewing Pattern by Dhurata Davies

The Almost Square Bag is a practical messenger style bag that can be made in a variety of fabrics to reflect your style. You can make it plain and cool or colourful and fun! The pattern includes three flap designs you can choose from. 

The detailed instructions included in this pattern will guide you through all the steps necessary to construct your bag, which include inserting zippers, pockets, installing the metal hardware, lining the bag, etc. You will learn a lot of tips and tricks you can then use in your future projects.

Suggested Fabric:

This bag can be made in a variety of fabrics and fabric combinations

You will also need:

• 50cm of medium weight woven fabric for the exterior
• 50cm of medium weight fabric for the lining
• 40cm of lighter weight fabric for the zipped pocket lining
• 1m of medium weight woven interfacing
• 2 x 20cm zips
• 1 x magnetic bag clasp/snap
• 1.5m x 3.5cm-4cm wide webbing for the strap
• 2 x 4cm rectangular metal rings
• 1 x 4cm rectangular metal slider
• Thread
